What is the most important information I should know
before I buy diazepam?

several weeks of continuous use, withdrawal effects
may occur. When you want to stop it ask your doctor
to recommend a gradual reduction in dose.
What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before
taking diazepam?
Before taking diazepam (valium), tell
your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, asthma,
bronchitis, emphysema, or another respiratory disease
or you are depressed or have suicidal thoughts
Do not take diazepam if you have narrow-angle glaucoma
as it may worsen this condition.
Diazepam is in the FDA pregnancy category D and
it means that diazepam is known to harm
an unborn baby so, do not take this medication without
talking to your doctor first if you are pregnant.
Also, do not take diazepam without talking to
your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby as diazepam
passes into breast milk.
Those who are over 65 years of age may require a lower
dose of this medicine as you may experience side effects
from diazepam...
How should I take diazepam?
- Do not take diazepam more often or in larger doses
than is prescribe by your doctor.
- Take diazepam according to the directions given
by your doctor. If you do not understand instructions,
ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them
to you.
- Take each oral dose with a full glass of wate.
- If you take the liquid forms of diazepam , you have
to ensure the correct dose, so you have to measure
with a dose-measuring spoon or cup, not with a regular
table spoon. If you don't have a dose-measuring device,
ask your pharmacist where you can get one.

Overdose - Symptoms and Treatment
The main symptoms of diazepam overdosage
are: drowsiness, oversedation , ataxia, confusion, a
slow heart beat, difficulty breathing, difficulty walking
and talking, an appearance of being drunk, and unconsciousness.
When the effects of the diazepam overdosage appear,
the patient exhibits some jitteriness and overstimulation.
There is no specific antidote known in overdose cases.
Gastric lavage may be beneficial if performed immediately
after oral ingestion. When is necessary, a CNS stimulant
such as caffeine or methylphenidate may be administered
with caution. Supportive measures should be instituted
as indicated - maintenance of an adequate airway, levarterenol
for hypotension. Also, dialysis appears to be of little
value.
What should I do if I miss the dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. But,
if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the dose
you missed and take only the next regularly scheduled
dose. Do not take a double dose of this medicine as a
double dose could be dangerous.
Store diazepam (generric valium) at room temperature
away from moisture and heat.
